Research Highlights

  • Development of composite magnesium and calcium hydroxide-based materials for thermochemical heat storage at 200-500oC. Investigation of effect of vermiculite matrix on Mg(OH)2 de- and rehydration.
  • Heterogeneous doping of Mg(OH)2 and Ca(OH)2 with alkali metal salts for thermochemical heat storage. Several classes of salts were screened and the salt effect studied by physic-chemical techniques.
  • Investigation of layered double hydroxides for thermochemical heat storage, variation of materials composition and cycle conditions.
